CQC Regulated

Who are the CQC?

The Care Quality Commission are the independent regulator of health and social care in England.

The CQC ensure the services we provide are safe, effective, compassionate and of high quality.

We work closely with the CQC for registration, inspection and auditing processes, welcoming feedback and recommendations at every level. At Mae Care, we are committed to the transparency and quality that CQC compliance provides to secure the best care for the people and families that we care for.

How Do We Rate?

There are five main questions that are asked of us by the CQC:

Are they safe? Are you protected from abuse and avoidable harm.

Are they effective? Does your care, treatment and support achieve good outcomes, help you maintain quality of life and is based on the best available evidence.

Are they caring? Staff involve and treat you with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.

Are they responsive to peoples needs? Services are organised so that they meet your needs.

Are they well-led? The leadership, management and governance of the organisation make sure it’s providing high-quality care that’s based around your individual needs, that it encourages learning and innovation, and that it promotes an open and fair culture.

Benefits of using a regulated care service

Confidence - a regulated care company is independently monitored, inspected and audited to ensure that they are meeting the required level of safety and quality of care. This gives you the peace of mind that we are doing what we say we are doing.

Care Staff - a regulated care company will be ensuring all staff employed are thoroughly vetted during the recruitment process to ensure they are the correct people to provide their care. This will include reference and DBS checks.

Training - once employed as a carer, regulated care companies will be providing staff with relevant and up to date training in all areas to ensure they are working to the standards expected. Supervision and development of staff is a continuous activity to enable everyone to work safely, compassionately and effectively.

Accountability - feedback on care provided by a regulated care company is given to the CQC, making the care provider fully accountable for the care it provides, allowing good care to be praised, but also highlighting where care is poor and needs improving.
