10 Years of Caring at MAE
Happy 10th Birthday MAE/Mae Care team.
From our humble beginnings in a bedroom, one desk and a chair and our whiteboard rota, Jen and I started the business.
With very little funding, but with a ‘whole lot of love’ to ‘care for the people we visited’
Our journey started quite quickly, and we had some lovely social outcomes, travelling all over Nottingham, supporting our customers with social care and recognising the need to live well with dementia.
Paul and Sam joined us, and we were four, strongly advocating for ‘good care’ invoicing on time, accrual of benefits and person-centred care.
Today, we employ over twenty staff, and we are still committed to the ethos we started out with.
Happy 10th Birthday Mae Care, thanks to all the staff that provide this care. It makes me especially privileged to have you as a team, working so hard, and the dedication shown.
A big thanks goes out to initially Jen, Sam and Paul and latterly Tracey, Hollie, Sharon & Andy who work hard behind the scenes, to make work more fun and happier for you, as a team.
Thank you to the care team, Carol, Lisa, Taylor, Leanne, Louise, Gifty, Prayer, Shanyne, Magdalene, Sheila, Hayley, and our extended family from Pacemakers, with Tina at the helm with their carers, Adetona and Alice
Finally, our lovely suppliers who help support the business, Asquith’s (Accountants) Frog box (IT), Julie Fidler (Web development, survey support and newsletters and many other things). Citation (our HR and training provider) and finally Birdie (Our great companion by App who support us to give out good rotas, manage staff hours and helping with pay! Thank you, we couldn’t do THIS LOVELY WORK without you!
Here are a few photos of our journey. Sorry Jen! Some are funny!
The next instalments will be on Facebook on the 3rd of July.
Thanks, Jen, for ‘believing in me’ and ‘me believing in you’! Happy 10th Birthday All.
Forever grateful Justine x
